Melissa Schlafman

Executive Assistant; Assistant Secretary, Board of Directors

Melissa Schlafman supports Prison Fellowship International’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Board Chair with logistics, administration, planning and event management. Melissa specializes in detailed coordination of calendars, meeting preparation and follow-up, and serving as a connector between different areas of the ministry.  

Melissa recognizes the power of the details. Her passion is to ensure that those around her are empowered to make the biggest impact by being equipped with the right support.  

Melissa has served in numerous roles at Prison Fellowship International, including donor engagement coordinator, administrative assistant and office manager. Previously, Melissa worked as a teacher and a Nursery Director, as well as administrative support at Loudoun County Public Schools. Melissa also spent time overseas as English teacher. 

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in education from Cedarville University. She continues to enjoy any opportunity to teach or learn something new.
