The Sycamore Tree Project®

“The Course Tore Me Apart… In a Good Way”

ADAM | Australia

Adam didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he started attending the Sycamore Tree Project®: Justice and Peace. He was shy and withdrawn.

When he heard the stories of the victims who visited during the sessions, his heart felt emotions he never experienced before. “It was hard meeting our visitors,” he says, “and my heart just fell when I learned what they had been through.”

Adam had been too afraid to talk about his past, but found talking about where he had gone wrong helped him to look at himself honestly.

During the course, Adam was able to reconcile his heart with his ex-wife. “I regret my bad behavior and wish her all the best for the future.”

Adam continues, “The Sycamore Tree Project tore me apart… in a good way.

“I grew up through this program. I know I am a better person for doing the course as it has shown me the past is behind me.

I have people to care about who care about me, and a son to raise in a law-abiding atmosphere. I have a new life ahead.”

Adam is thankful to the Sycamore Tree Project staff for their care.
