Melissa Schlafman

Coordinator, Donor Engagement

Melissa Schlafman supports the Donor Engagement Team by focusing on donor care and engagement. She is in charge of responding to donor calls and emails, including resolving any questions, concerns or account issues. She also keeps donation and sponsorship processes running smoothly on the back-end by processing sponsor welcome kits and their child’s Annual Progress Reports, developing donor reports and sending donor notifications when necessary.

Melissa supports our cherished financial partners with joy. She strives to make sure that each donor and sponsor feels supported and appreciated in their partnership with Prison Fellowship International.

Melissa has served in numerous roles at Prison Fellowship International, including an administrative assistant and office manager. Previously, Melissa worked as a teacher and a Nursery Director, as well as administrative support at Loudoun County Public Schools. Melissa also spent time overseas as an English teacher.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in education from Cedarville University. She continues to enjoy any opportunity to teach or learn something new.
