Angel Tree®

Each Christmas, our offices are pressed to the limit with gifts to be delivered to children of prisoners throughout Australia. These gifts are given on behalf of the incarcerated parent, to help maintain family relationships in spite of difficult times. Many children feel abandoned when a parent goes to prison, which can lead to negative changes in behavior. One parent said about her children visiting their father, “I didn’t know if it was the right thing to do, taking them into that environment. I don’t want them to follow their father’s example and to think that’s normal…” Receiving a gift from their father gives a glimmer of hope that Dad still cares.

Camp for Kids
