From 100 Years to Hope | Brazil
Eduardo’s life took a dramatic turn when he was arrested and faced a sentence of more than 100 years. One year into his sentence, he was transferred to an Association for the Protection and Assistance of the Condemned (APAC) facility in its early stages of establishment. It was there that Eduardo encountered The Prisoner’s Journey, which would change everything.
Eduardo joined the course and soon became a facilitator, driven by a desire to share what he had learned about Jesus with others. The program gave meaning to his years behind bars, teaching him who Jesus truly was, why He came and what that meant for his life. Eduardo spent nearly a decade in APAC and later in the regular prison system, witnessing countless transformations among his fellow prisoners. His faith deepened, and his hope grew stronger as he embraced spiritual freedom long before physical freedom arrived.
When Eduardo finally walked free, he and his wife chose to continue the mission, bringing The Prisoner’s Journey to those still in despair. Today, Eduardo’s testimony shines as proof that faith can turn hopelessness into purpose and that true freedom begins in the heart.
