A Divine Appointment

Ernest, the Program Coordinator of The Prisoner’s Journey in Albania shared:

“For seven consecutive weeks, an atheist participated in the course, showing great interest in learning about Christ. His engagement was remarkable—he asked questions, contributed to discussions and consistently expressed his desire to be part of each session. Week after week, he returned, eager for more. On graduation day, however, he was the only participant absent. When I asked the staff about his whereabouts, they simply said, ‘He has been released.’ While we rejoiced in his freedom, we also wondered about his journey from here.

Later that very afternoon, I unexpectedly ran into him on the street. His face lit up with joy when he saw me. With excitement, he shared something that left me in awe. “I don’t have a phone to call you, but before coming to this neighborhood, I prayed to God. I said, ‘Lord, if You are real, let me meet the chaplain today—on my graduation day. I don’t want the certificate; what I want is to trust my life to You.

This moment was no coincidence. It was a divine appointment.

Give today to make more moments of transformation possible for prisoners around the world.
