Proclaim freedom for the captives and release prisoners from darkness
The cycle of crime is a reality which often claims entire lifetimes and spans generations.
Today, there are approximately 10 million men and women imprisoned around the world, living in physical and spiritual darkness. Prisoners are one of the least-reached groups in the world. Cut off from society and left alone in their hopelessness and despair.
Too often, all they’ve known outside prison is violence, shame, fear, and addiction. They only find more of the same inside, through drugs, violent gangs, and the empty promises of hopeless faiths. Many live in cultures that do not rehabilitate. But with your gifts and your prayers, we can work together to release them from this life of crime which grips families around the world.
We know we can, because God’s word – and His ability to save and change lives – is irresistible. God has used us to share His word in prison, but he has also raised up leaders among inmates and correctional officers. All they needed was access to Truth and a bit of training.
That’s what you can provide when you make a donation to enroll a prisoner in The Prisoner’s Journey, an 8-week Bible study that’s transforming the lives of prisoners by introducing them to a Savior who was once a prisoner as well.
Leadership in Prison Fellowship South Africa reports, “Revival has broken out in the prisons which are implementing The Prisoners Journey.”
Leadership at Prison Fellowship Colombia shared with us that leaders of prison gangs have been totally transformed by the Gospel. These individuals who once extorted money from other prisoners are now using their own resources to buy flat screen TVs so that prisoners can watch The Prisoner’s Journey videos 24/7.
It’s only thanks to the support of generous donors like you that PFI volunteers and staff members can carry God’s word to isolated prisoners and their suffering families. Your support is changing entire justice systems and freeing generations from cycles of crime.
With your monthly gift of only $15, you can introduce a new prisoner to Jesus every month through The Prisoner’s Journey. Will you help them come to know and love Him?
