One Screen at a Time | Cote_d’Ivoire

In a powerful display of transformation, inmates at one of Côte d’Ivoire’s open-air prisons turned a simple need into an act of hope, showing that even in the most unlikely places, change is possible.

The challenge was clear: under the bright sky, it was nearly impossible to see videos projected from the Acclaimer device. But rather than let this obstacle stand in their way, a group of inmates pooled their resources, investing what little money they had to buy materials for a homemade projector screen.

The inmates’ passion and ownership for this initiative, fueled by their desire for everyone to see the films of Jesus’ ministry, was a major encouragement to the program volunteers.

With determination and teamwork, the group constructed a viewing space—using their hands and hearts to build more than just a screen – they created a place where stories could be shared and hope could take root, uninterrupted by the distractions of their environment.
