Jennifer McHugh Adams, CFRE, leads Prison Fellowship International’s global development and communications efforts, advancing the organization’s mission to break the cycle of crime, worldwide, through Jesus’ love.

With a passion for connecting people to purpose, Jennifer leads efforts to engage and serve those who resonate with the work of Prison Fellowship International and its affiliates around the world to transform the lives of prisoners, their families and victims of crime. She seeks to inspire and invite donors, partners and the public into meaningful partnership and celebrate the profound impact of their support.

Jennifer brings more than two decades of strategic leadership experience in the philanthropic sector. Prior to joining Prison Fellowship International, she served as Executive Vice President at Water Mission, where she led the advancement strategy and helped significantly expand the organization’s reach and impact. Her past leadership and development roles include positions at Mission: St. Louis, Bright Hope International and Samaritan’s Purse. She previously served on the board of Administer Justice.

Jennifer is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She holds a master’s degree in public relations, advertising and applied communications from Webster University, and a bachelor’s degree in English literature and creative writing from Indiana University.

Jennifer is driven by her faith and calling to contribute to God’s redemptive and hope-filled work. She lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband, Dave.
