Programs

Angel Tree®

Angel Tree® Christmas is a Prison Fellowship program that connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. In most cases, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the Gospel to children in the name of their prisoner-parent. Many churches make an annual commitment to this highly rewarding program and recognize it as a way to care for some of the most overlooked members of our communities.

Angel Tree® Summer Camp

Angel Tree® Camping A good way to extend your Angel Tree® ministry throughout the year is to arrange for prisoners’ children to attend Christian summer camp. Camp can be one of the most life-changing experiences that children of incarcerated parents can have. Camp gives the child an opportunity to have fun, fellowship with their peers, build relationships with caring camp counselors and to experience the love of God in the great outdoors. The camping experience gives the children the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God.

LifeLines

One of the things that we have all become increasingly aware of during this time of lockdown due to the pandemic is the level of isolation felt by many of the men and women in our Scottish prisons. As an example of this, in a recent survey over 50% of those prisoners in HMP Edinburgh over 60 said that received no visits and we already have interest and support from the Scottish Prison Service to offer this program in the jails in Scotland. For this Letter Writing program, Prison Fellowship Scotland are excited to be able to build on the years of experience of their sister organization in England and Wales who have been supporting hundreds of prisoners through their letter writing program over many years and we will use this experience to offer both training and support to all those who want to become a PF Scotland LifeLines Letter Writer.

Sycamore Tree Project: Justice and Peace®: Justice and Peace

The Sycamore Tree Project: Justice and Peace®: Justice and Peace helps repair the harm caused by crime by bringing together victims and prisoners to discuss issues related to crime and its consequences.

Week of Prayer

The Annual Week of Prayer can be observed at any time during the year. The week is designed as a special occasion for Prison Fellowship to communicate and connect with churches and the community in order to focus on ministry among prisoners, ex-prisoners, the families of prisoners, and victims of crime.
