You helped grow the children of prisoners program

in Nepal by 33 percent in 2018!

Because of supporters like you,

we were able to give life-changing care

to 399 Nepali children of prisoners last year

In the last three years, hundreds of children’s lives have been impacted through your support, which provides high quality care and interventions for children and families impacted by crime and imprisonment. Nine child case workers, ten volunteers, and eight churches now serve this vulnerable group, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to breaking the cycle of crime in Nepal.

Our Rescue Plan In Action

With your help, we pair each child in our program with a dedicated caseworker,

and ensure they receive support in these four essential areas. Here’s how you helped this year:

Safety

  • 98% of the children in the program now have a birth certificate or national ID equivalent
  • 100% of children received home visits and were placed with an approved caregiver
  • 182 children and 144 caregivers across seven districts received child rights and safety training

Health

  • 368 children who were in need of additional vaccinations received them
  • 182 children who were in need received de-worming treatment for parasites
  • 293 families received additional monthly nutritional support
  • 122 children were supported to receive a health check via local hospital
  • 246 children received health and hygiene training

Education

  • 368 school-age children were registered in school (ongoing goal)
  • 293 children who were in need received educational support through uniforms, books and other supplies

Spiritual Care

  • 241 children and their families participated in a resiliency building event
  • 100% of children were served by a caring Christian caseworker
  • The team supported 177 child visits to parents in prison

Changing Lives, for Good

You have already given so much hope to children in Nepal, making way for a brighter future

and helping to restore their trust in people—and in a heavenly Father who loves them.

THANK YOU!
