James C. Galvin
Jim Galvin is an organizational consultant with a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector. Jim’s clients benefit from his wide range of expertise in organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, board governance, succession planning, leadership development, and curriculum design.
Jim has completed successful projects for many leading organizations, including the Leadership Network, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Willow Creek Association, Tyndale House Publishers, Bethany Christian Services, CareNet, Promise Keepers, North American Baptist Headquarters, Concordia Seminary, American Bar Association, and World Relief.
Jim’s work has often focused on releasing the potential of leaders and organizations. A great example of this is the Christian Management Association’s Executive Leadership Program, a highly acclaimed 12-month development program that Jim created to spur individual growth in CEOs and senior executives of nonprofit organizations. Jim also served as the national training director of Youth for Christ/USA, and was an adjunct faculty member with Wheaton College for several years teaching in the areas of leadership, curriculum, and ministry.
As an author, he has been published by Zondervan, Tyndale, Baker, IVP, Navpress, Thomas Nelson, and Focus on the Family. He has been honored as a finalist for the ECPA Gold Medallion Award over a dozen times and won the C.S. Lewis Medallion Award for children’s literature three times. Jim’s publishing credits include the creation and editing of many bestselling books, including the Life Application Study Bible.
Jim holds the Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Supervision from Northern Illinois University, where the faculty nominated his doctoral work for the prestigious Dissertation of the Year Award. He completed his bachelor and master’s degrees from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.
