John Grantham

Director, Prison Programs

John brings 17 years of volunteer experience leading prison ministry programs and more than two decades of executive management experience including business development, strategic growth, sales enablement, talent management, IT, marketing, and operations. He is the current Board Chair of the Loudoun Christian Justice Mission (LCJM), based in Loudoun County, Virginia where he has guided 300% organization growth in 4 years. LCJM delivers 4 different programs about 25 times a week to the local jail. His passion is to bring hope and transformational change to prisoners through the Gospel, “…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,“ Rom 12:2.

For the last twelve years, John has worked with Accelerent as VP of Operations. In this capacity, John supported day-to-day operations in 6 Nationwide offices, working with a team to enable the delivery of a proprietary business development platform. He also supported Accelerant’s revenue growth and market exposure for client companies.

He has a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Administration from Richmond, The American International University in London. Following university, John attended Hebron Ministerial Institute in Guatemala City, Guatemala, while working full time in International Supply Chain and Logistics.

He has numerous professional certifications, including Data-Driven Decision Making, Leading the Modern-Day Business, Sales Enablement, Predictive Index (Talent Management), and Online Marketing Certified Professional. In addition, he has a numerous ministry related certifications including Mentor Training (PFM), CISM Assisting Individuals in Crisis & Group Intervention, Certified Minister of Chaplaincy, Anger Management Specialist, and Mental Health First Aid. He is currently pursuing certifications in Biblical Counseling and Strategic Execution for Ministry. John is a Senior Chaplain licensed/ordained by the International Fellowship of Chaplains.

John brings a unique blend of pastoral leadership, prison ministry and business development experience. He is fluent in Spanish.

John lives in Leesburg, VA with his wife Brenda. Their two children (22, 24) still live in the area. John enjoys anything outdoors like camping, hiking, mountain biking, tubing and kayaking. John is very involved in his local Church (same one for 22 years) and in the past has served as Worship Leader, Head Usher, Boys Camp Leader and now Security Team.

As Director of Prison Programs, John will focus on expanding our prison program partnerships while providing tactical leadership to the prison programs team that manages the day-to-day operations.
